Queridos amigos,

Hola!  Voy a intentar escribir en espanol para ustedes, espero que ustedes pueden entender y lo siento para mi mala gramatica!  Voy a Nicaragua este miercoles y quiero dares peticiones de orar y tambien el plan del viaje.  Tres de los hombres y yo vamos a Houston, TX en miercoles y entonces en viernes las mujeres y los Robertsons llegan a Houston tambien y viajamos juntos a Managua, Nicaragua.  Despues de nos llegamos en Managua, conducimos dos horas a Leon.

Todos los dias, iremos a la puebla Abangasca Norte, cerca de Leon.  En Abangasca Norte vamos a hacer un poso para agua limpia, ensenar de salud y compartir el evangelio con la gente.

Regresaremos en los 20 de enero.  Mientras estamos en Nicaragua, escribiremos cada dia en nuestra blog (http://venture-online.org/blog/january-2007-nicaragua/) y tambien espero que puedo escribir en mi blog personal (http://dwblack.wordpress.com/).

Por favor, orar para estas cosas:

1)      Gracias a Dios para sus bendiciones, amor y ayuda y que nosotros pueden trbabjar juntos para El Senor.

2)      Seguridad para nosotros cuando viajamos y trabajamos.

3)      Bendiciones para la gente de Abangasca Norte y que ellos sabran el amor, gracia y presencia
del Senor. Y tambien para Pastor Luis Quido Lopes y su familia.

4)      Que nuestro equipo misionero teneremos paciencia y gracia al otro y Dios dara nuevoas cosas.

5)      Para agua.  Agua en el poso no es cierto asi alguna agua sera un bendicion y regalo de Dios.

Muchisimas gracias a todo por sus oraciones y alientos.  Espero que Dios bendecira ustedes con el viaje.  Ustedes son bendiciones a mi y voy a orar para ustedes tambien!

Hi everybody!

Well, almost time to go!  I am leaving Wednesday for the trip to Nicaragua!  Everything seems to be in order as far as I can make out but wanted to share some prayer requests and some additional information about the trip for you.

Most of the guys will be leaving Wednesday to go to Houston, TX for all the guys to get a crash course on mud rotary drilling and for me to get a refresher course on the rig since it has been a few months.  Friday, the ladies and the Robertsons descend on Houston and we all board the plane for Managua, Nicaragua.  Upon landing we will then drive roughly 2 hours to Leon which will be our home base for the remainder of the trip.

Everyday, we will be going out to a village called Abangasca Norte, near Leon, to drill a capped well for them, teach health and hygiene and share in the lives of the people and witness and encouragement to them and they to us.

We’ll be returning January 20^th.  While we are there, hopefully we will be updating the team blog everyday (http://venture-online.org/blog/january-2007-nicaragua/) with different stories and reflections from the day.  And if possible, I will try and update my blog too (http://dwblack.wordpress.com/) just so y’all will know whats going on.

Please be praying for:

1)      Thanks to the Lord for his blessings and that he lets us join in doing his work together and for his constant love and provision.

2)      Safety for the team both in traveling and working in the village

3)      Prayer for the Lord’s blessing on the people at Abangasca Norte that they will know his love, grace and presence.  And for Pastor Luis Quido Lopez and his family.

4)      That our team would show patience and grace with each other and we would really enjoy each other and that the Lord will reveal himself in new and exciting ways to each of us.

5)      That we would drill a successful well.  Despite all our crazy awesome technology these days, there is no certain way to find water.  The drilling of the well is an act of faith for the Lord to provide the water.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement and I pray you will be blessed by the trip!  You are a blessing to me and I will be praying for you all too!

Had a great time with the family in England.  A full week of board games, videos, walks, laughs and chillin out.  Always such a great remind of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family!  I posted some of the photos on the Flickr site so please have a gander.  My personal favourite I believe is marked as such but it is my mom with The Rock…so choice!
